Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Gurgel!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurgel throws a right and a left that both miss.
Chai misses with a two punch combination.
Chai scores with a jab to the jaw.
Chai jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Chai definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Chai scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Gurgel looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gurgel goes for a double leg but Chai avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chai continues to drive forward.
Chai defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gurgel.
Gurgel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chai moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chai throws a series of punches but Gurgel avoids them all with ease.
Gurgel with the counter takedown but Chai avoids it easily.
Chai takes the fight into the clinch.
Gurgel is trying to pull guard but Chai turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
InSaen Chai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Gurgel.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gurgel tries to pull guard but Chai forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gurgel goes for a takedown attempt but Chai pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gurgel takes a swing at Chai's ribcage but misses.
Gurgel throws a sloppy head kick and Chai moves out of range easily.
Chai looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Gurgel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chai was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Gurgel takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Chai fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Chai plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gurgel throws a low kick, looking for Chai's leg but Chai calmly moves out of range.
Gurgel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chai defends it nicely.

Gurgel swings for the body but Chai moves out of range.
Chai cracks Gurgel with a good jab.

Gurgel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chai circles away quickly and effectively.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chai throws a jab but it's blocked by Gurgel.

Gurgel takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Chai scores with a decent looking hook.
Gurgel is rocked!

Whack! Chai lands a heavy head kick that drops Gurgel. The ref tackles Chai to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Gurgel was done.
