Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael McConnell (ranked 25042 p4p, 5286 weight class) and Max Gunn (ranked 567 p4p, 509 weight class). Max Gunn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnell throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn moves out of range easily.

McConnell clinches.
McConnell is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gunn is defending well.
McConnell prevents Gunn from breaking the clinch.

Gunn is trying to force a seperation but McConnell has the dominant position.

McConnell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gunn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gunn misses the jab.
Gunn catches McConnell with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

McConnell is rocked!
McConnell fails with the takedown.
Oh McConnell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gunn pounces like a tiger and cracks McConnell with a vicious hook! McConnell is down but not out! Gunn follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
