PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akhmed Dudayev (ranked 612 p4p, 362 weight class) and Marek Cervenka (ranked 84 p4p, 51 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Cervenka!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudayev throws a shot from downtown. Cervenka moves away and avoids it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cervenka! But no joy.
No joy there for Dudayev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dudayev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dudayev throws a poor cross that misses
and Cervenka counters with a stiff right hand.
Dudayev throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Dudayev throws a leg kick that misses.
Cervenka has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Dudayev is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Dudayev throws a head kick that misses.
Dudayev works over Cervenka's head and body with a nice combination.
A big left from Cervenka misses.
Dudayev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cervenka.
Cervenka lands a jab.
Cervenka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dudayev.
An attempted straight right counter from Dudayev misses the target.
Dudayev misses with a straight right.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cervenka throws a jab but it's blocked by Dudayev.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cervenka takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cervenka jabs Dudayev right on the nose. Dudayev blinks but takes it well.
Cervenka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cervenka doesn't manage to clinch there - Dudayev circles away.

Dudayev throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Dudayev dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dudayev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cervenka shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dudayev scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Dudayev throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cervenka sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Cervenka misses its intended target.
Dudayev throws a right hand that Cervenka ducks under and follows up with a left that Cervenka also avoids with ease.
A low kick from Dudayev is predictable there
and Cervenka counters with a nice uppercut.
Cervenka misses with a hook
and Dudayev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dudayev throws a lazy right hand but Cervenka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dudayev ducks under a wild hook from Cervenka.
Cervenka jabs Dudayev right on the nose. Dudayev blinks but takes it well.
Jab, jab by Dudayev - just one landing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Dudayev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cervenka is rocked!

It looks like Marek Cervenka has been cut.
Dudayev wobbles Cervenka with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Dudayev dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Cervenka to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
