Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arto Jarvinen (ranked 157 p4p, 113 weight class) and Royal Halsti (ranked 26 p4p, 19 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arto Jarvinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Royal Halsti!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jarvinen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Halsti moves away.
Halsti finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Halsti is looking to land body kicks.
Jarvinen dips to his left and cracks Halsti with an uppercut!
Jarvinen tries to clinch up.
Jarvinen throws a lazy right hand but Halsti sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jarvinen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Halsti stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Halsti dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jarvinen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Halsti swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Halsti has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Halsti bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Halsti gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jarvinen moves into the clinch.
Halsti lands a right hand.
Jarvinen has a couple of punches blocked by Halsti.
Jarvinen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jarvinen tries to work over Halsti's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Jarvinen lands a body shot in the clinch.
Jarvinen scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Halsti goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jarvinen prevents it.
Halsti prevents a body shot from Jarvinen.
Halsti throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jarvinens head.
Jarvinen lands with a right to the head.
A short uppercut from Halsti.
Jarvinen can't find room to land a body shot as Halsti controls the action.
Halsti blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Halsti lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jarvinen backwards.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jarvinen misses with a punch on the inside.
Jarvinen lands with a short shot to the head.
Jarvinen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Arto Jarvinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royal Halsti.
Halsti lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Halsti tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Halsti pulls guard successfully.
Jarvinen won't allow Halsti to sweep him here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Halsti pushes a forearm under Jarvinen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jarvinen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
