PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne King (ranked 3803 p4p, 23359 weight class) and Yuta Sanguiao (ranked 398 p4p, 478 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from King.
King lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Yuta Sanguiao has been cut.
King is looking to slow Sanguiao down with leg kicks.
Sanguiao goes for a double leg but King avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as King continues to drive forward.
Sanguiao has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from King.
Sanguiao blocks a jab.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanguiao sees it coming and avoids it easily.

King gets caught napping as Sanguiao dives in and scores a takedown. King manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King wants to stand but Sanguiao is controlling the position.

Sanguiao told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
King is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Sanguiao postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Sanguiao drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sanguiao as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! King screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sanguiao! Nice submission victory there!
