Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Chugman (ranked 1415 p4p, 1084 weight class) and Juan Corona (ranked 195 p4p, 146 weight class). Corona has chosen Lil Baby, Lil Durk - How It Feels as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 3, fighting out of London, Juan Corona!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chugman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Chugman lands a couple of elbows.

Corona looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Chugman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Corona is keeping the position for now.
Corona is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Chugman trying to control the position from guard on top but Corona is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Corona preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've been hearing good reports from Chugman's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Corona manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chugman manages to get himself to full guard.

Chugman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Corona is aware though and is defending well.

Corona sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chugman's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chugman wants to control but Corona is keeping busy.

Corona is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chugman sees it coming and defends easily.
Chugman is staying active underneath Corona, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Corona wants to advance to full mount but Chugman doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Corona stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chugman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Chugman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chugman seems keen to control Corona's posture.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Corona trying to stand up but can't free himself from Chugman's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chugman slips under a jab.
Chugman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Corona throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Corona swings for the body but Chugman moves out of range.
Corona will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Chugman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Corona, pushing him back against the cage.
Chugman struggles to land a body shot inside as Corona controls his hands.
Chugman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Chugman jumps into guard, dragging Corona to the mat.
Corona postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corona wants to control from the top but Chugman keeps moving.
Corona passes Chugman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Chugman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Corona's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Corona's back!

Chugman punches Corona on the ear.
Corona rolls, trying to escape but Chugman keeps control of the position.
Chugman is looking to control Corona but Corona is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Chugman has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Corona is in real trouble here. Chugman gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Corona is tapping out! Chugman wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Klaus Chugman!
Klaus Chugman really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brooklyn Apothecary logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
In defeat, Juan Corona stepped up to the mic, saying 'Wow! He is more badass than I thought.'.
