Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lil D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). D has chosen 1 as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scotty Nguyen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lil D!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A combination from D does no damage.
Scotty Nguyen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A chopping leg kick lands by Nguyen.
Nguyen scores with a jab. D acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Nguyen clinches.
D stalling in the clinch but Nguyen improves position.
Nguyen stalls.
Nguyen gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.

Nguyen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nguyen lands a nice shot to the body.
D takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
D closes the distance looking to clinch
and D takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nguyen lands a jab to the head.

D takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nguyen closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Nguyen rushes D and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nguyen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Nguyen controlling the action here for a moment.
Nguyen avoids the elbow strike from D, against the cage.
D throws an elbow but it misses.

Nguyen breaks from the clinch.
D throws a leg kick which misses Nguyen's front leg but catches the back leg as Nguyen tries to avoid it.
D moves in looking to clinch but Nguyen pushes him off.
Nguyen with a jab.
Nguyen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Nice cross by Nguyen.
Nguyen lands a glancing blow to the side of D's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nguyen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Nguyen lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Nguyen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of D 's head but he takes it in his stride.
D takes a shot to the body in his stride.
D takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Nguyen is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
D looks gassed!
D takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nguyen stuns D with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A jab lands there for Nguyen.
Nguyen scores with a punch to the head.
A jab-cross combination lands for Nguyen and sends D crashing to the mat! Nguyen follows him down to the mat - D regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

D is rocked!

It looks like Lil D has been cut.
Nguyen controlling the pace.
D is still in real trouble! Can Nguyen finish him?
Nguyen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
D seems to have recovered his senses.

Nguyen prevents D from improving his position.
Nguyen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Nguyen decides to return to a standing position.
Donk. Nguyen catches D right on the button with a cross.
Nguyen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Nguyen throws a good cross that connects.
Nguyen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nguyen feints and then cracks D's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow D down.
Nguyen lands a jab to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nguyen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nguyen stuns D with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nguyen scores with a jab to the jaw.
Nguyen lands a slapping body shot.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nguyen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Good standup being displayed there by Nguyen as he connects with a hook.
Nguyen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scotty Nguyen dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lil D's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nguyen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nguyen bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops D! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Nguyen passes into half guard.
Nguyen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Nguyen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
D is breathing heavily.
D really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nguyen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nguyen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
D is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Nguyen stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Nguyen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps D's head backwards.
Nguyen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
D shoots and misses
and Nguyen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nguyen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nguyen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that D can do to turn this around?
Nguyen throws a left that rocks D and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Nguyen dives into side control, looking to finish! Can D regain composure!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nguyen has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for D!
D has given up his back. Will we see Nguyen going for some submissions?
Nguyen really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for D.
D wants to get back to his feet.
Nguyen controls the action.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Scotty Nguyen just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Nguyen tests D's chin there with a solid looking shot.
D takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lil D is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nguyen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to D's calf.
Nguyen throws a combination. D tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

D takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nguyen lands a hook that stumbles D back into the cage. Nguyen follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping D to the canvas! Nguyen pounces and lands several unanswered shots - D has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
