The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudayev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pandens.
Dudayev buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Akhmed Dudayev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pandens waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dudayev.
Pandens throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dudayev looks to throw the jab but Pandens is out of range.
Dudayev uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

We've been told by Dudayev's head coaches at Vale Tudo NY that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Pandens pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Pandens takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pandens has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Dudayev throws a series of strikes that have Pandens backpedaling.
Pandens cracks Dudayev with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dudayev lands with a nice combination. Pandens backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Azriel Pandens has been cut.
Dudayev misses with a double jab.
Pandens catches Dudayev with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Dudayev checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sloppy strikes from Pandens. Those never looked like landing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pandens cracks Dudayev with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Dudayev falls to his knees and Pandens doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Azriel Pandens thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
