Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Chugman (ranked 976 p4p, 1578 weight class) and DeShawn West (ranked 130 p4p, 199 weight class). West has chosen Can’t Be Touched - Roy Jones Jr as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DeShawn West!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West lands with a good body shot.
Chugman defending well as West loads up on a big left hand.
Chugman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chugman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A little jabbing left from West on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A big right from West misses.
Chugman moves in looking to clinch but West pushes him off.
Chugman misses with a combination
and West counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chugman with a body punch. A glancing blow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West slaps away a takedown attempt from Chugman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
West throws out a counter right but Chugman avoids it with no problem.
West throws a poor cross that misses
and Chugman counters with a nice double leg into side control. West won't be happy with that.
West explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

West looks to land a right hand but Chugman moved out of range.
Chugman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chugman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chugman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
West is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chugman asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Chugman's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Chugman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but West is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Chugman is looking to take a break and control but West is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

and West counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Chugman thinking.
Chugman moves in looking to clinch but West pushes him off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

West looks like he wants to counter punch here.

West rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chugman counters with a takedown into side control.
West wants to get back to his feet but Chugman is dominant here and he's now got West's back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chugman has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. West is defending well but eventually Chugman manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! West has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
