Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daud Yordan (ranked 665 p4p, 845 weight class) and Joanderson Ribeiro (ranked 48 p4p, 62 weight class). Ribeiro comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tropkillaz-Gorilla kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Joanderson Ribeiro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daud Yordan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joanderson Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yordan throws out a loose jab but Ribeiro uses good head movement to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ribeiro has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ribeiro slips a straight right by Yordan.
As Yordan backs off Ribeiro throws a huge counter combo but Yordan manages to avoid it all.
Ribeiro throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Yordan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ribeiro with the counter takedown but Yordan avoids it easily.
Yordan's corner calls for a 1-2. Yordan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Yordan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ribeiro throws out a counter right but Yordan avoids it with no problem.
Ribeiro darts in looking for a takedown but Yordan gets double underhooks and turns Ribeiro into the cage.
An attempted straight right counter from Yordan misses the target.
Ribeiro takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ribeiro dives in for a single leg takedown but Yordan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yordan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ribeiro doesn't seem bothered though.
Yordan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ribeiro's hands.
Yordan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Ribeiro on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Yordan dodges the punch combination from Ribeiro.
Ribeiro slips under a jab.
Yordan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Yordan is pawing at Ribeiro, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Ribeiro's nose. Ribeiro is badly hurt! Yordan pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Ribeiro tries desperately to hold on but Yordan is relentless in his assault! As Ribeiro receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Yordan away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daud Yordan!

Our winner, Daud Yordan, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
