The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dude closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dude trying to control the position but Gum is working away.
Dude in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Dude is looking to take a break and control but Gum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dude thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dude tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dude has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dude has knee on belly and moves into mount.
