PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Parta Matti (ranked 491 p4p, 644 weight class) and Will Wrecks (ranked 63 p4p, 82 weight class). Matti comes to the cage accompanied by Language (Hula Cam) - Porter Robinson. Will Wrecks told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Wrecks!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrecks tests Matti's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Parta Matti has been cut.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Matti connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Matti misses the jab.
Wrecks throws out a loose jab but Matti uses good head movement to avoid it.
Matti feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Matti takes a swing at Wrecks's ribcage but misses.
It seemed like Wrecks was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Matti ducks under a wild hook from Wrecks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matti throws a body kick that misses.

Nice defenses there by Wrecks.
Matti tests Wrecks's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Matti connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wrecks. Wrecks circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Wrecks lands a nice looking kick to the body. Matti takes a step back to recover.
Matti misses with a body shot.
Matti sizes up Wrecks with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

A slapping body kick lands there for Matti.

Matti looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Matti lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Matti throws a hook to the side of Wrecks's head but Wrecks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wrecks swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matti tries to move into range but Wrecks moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Parta Matti's cut is getting worse.
Matti is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wrecks.
Wrecks flashes Matti a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Matti's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Matti crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Wrecks punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Will Wrecks!
An out of breath Will Wrecks thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Parta Matti stepped up to the mic, saying 'PARTY PARTY PARTY!!! Did I really lose if I get to PARTY?'.
