Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Cobain (ranked 29 p4p, 104 weight class) and Rob Roy (ranked 4 p4p, 16 weight class). Cobain comes to the cage accompanied by Smells Like Teen Spirit. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Cobain!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Rob Roy!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Roy connects with a leg kick.
Roy avoids the body shot from Cobain.
Roy throws the kick towards the body but Cobain avoids it.
And Cobain counters with a quick kick to the body but Roy blocks it.

It looks like Rob Roy has been cut.
Cobain fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Roy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

It looked like Cobain wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Cobain has been working on his boxing with his coaches at BRAZILIAN TOP TEAM in the buildup to the fight.

Roy looks to land a left hand but Cobain moved out of range nicely.

Cobain tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Roy throws a right hand that Cobain ducks under and follows up with a left that Cobain also avoids with ease.

Roy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Cobain chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Roy can pounce on him.

Well Roy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
