The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Late pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Late throws a left and a right that both miss
and Knox counters with a straight right hand.
Knox keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Late has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Late is looking to clinch but Knox is avoiding it.
Knox throws a big counter combination but Late scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Knox has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Late finds it's way round the side to connect with Knox's head.
Knox's jab looks to have found its range, popping Late under the eye.

Knox works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

No joy there for Late, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Knox stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knox wants it to stay on the feet.

Late tries to keep at a distance but Knox has taken the fight into the clinch.

Late seems to have recovered his senses.

A punch lands to the side of Late 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Late throws a wild body kick that Knox sees coming a mile off.
Late avoids the head kick by Knox.
Knox is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Knox lands a lovely overhand right.
Late takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A telegraphed right hand from Late misses the target.
Knox lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Knox throws a nice looking combination but Late bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Knox lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A frustrated look appears on Late's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Late misses with a jab, cross combination.
Knox stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Late gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Late tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Knox is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Late buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Late!! Late is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Knox throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Porthos Knox!
Porthos Knox decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
