Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dwalin Broadaxe (ranked 1967 p4p, 3744 weight class) and Rocco Damato (ranked 172 p4p, 300 weight class). Damato is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Thunderstruck. Rocco Damato will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwalin Broadaxe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rocco Damato!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damato looks to land a combination but Broadaxe avoids it well.
Broadaxe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Damato throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Broadaxe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Broadaxe prevents Damato from improving his position.
Damato is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Broadaxe scores with a couple of nice shots.

Damato is looking for a sweep. Broadaxe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Damato has hold of Broadaxe's hands but Broadaxe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Broadaxe connects with a nice short shot to Damato's temple.
Broadaxe is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Damato scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Broadaxe manages to mount him!
Broadaxe lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Broadaxe cracks Damato with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Broadaxe is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Damato is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Broadaxe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Damato with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Damato postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Broadaxe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Damato, into his guard.

Broadaxe forces Damato back against the cage and clinches.
Damato is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Broadaxe is keeping busy.
Broadaxe turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Broadaxe manages to end up in side control.
Damato takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Damato tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Broadaxe wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Broadaxe avoids the strikes from the bottom by Damato.
Broadaxe cracks Damato with a big right hand but Damato just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Broadaxe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
