Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Abbott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gael Dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Abbott.
Dos Santos tries to clinch but Abbott is having none of it.
Abbott just misses with a punch to the body.
Abbott drives through with a takedown into guard.
Abbott has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dos Santos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Abbott manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abbott thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Dos Santos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Abbott manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dos Santos has Abbott in his guard.
Abbott has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Abbott and the ref steps in to end the fight! Abbott can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
