Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Beanin Jiet (ranked 1577 p4p, 1640 weight class) and Neil Parker (ranked 219 p4p, 232 weight class). Parker has chosen Bring Me The Horizon - Obey as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Beanin Jiet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neil Parker!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Beanin Jiet has been cut.
We've been told by Jiet's head coaches at in shig we trust that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Parker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Neil Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parker misses with a hook
and Jiet counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Neil Parker has been cut.
Jiet swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Parker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Parker's coach down at The Jungle Room was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Parker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Parker pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jiet throwing a counter right hand but Parker manages to avoid it.
Parker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jiet looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Parker throws a front kick aimed at Jiet's knee but Jiet avoids it well.
As Parker backs away, Jiet returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Parker connects with a body shot that sends Jiet's belly button to the back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Parker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jiet counters with a slapping leg kick.
Parker misses with a jab to the body
and Jiet counters with a stiff right hand.
Jiet misses with an uppercut. Parker saw that one coming.
Parker throws a lazy uppercut

and Jiet counters with a crisp right hand that drops Parker! Jiet lets Parker back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Parker is rocked!
Parker misses with a double jab
and Jiet counters with a left to the body.
Parker is still on wobbly legs! Can Jiet finish him?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice defenses there by Jiet.
Parker throws a looping overhand right but Jiet ducks down to avoid it.
Parker seems to have recovered his senses.
Parker misses with a wild combination.
Jiet moves forwards but Parker connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Parker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Parker misses with a left hand

and Jiet counters with a nice right hand that sends Parker toppling to the canvas! Parker scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Jiet finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Parker throws a jab when Jiet was well out of range.
Parker misses with a left hand
and Jiet counters with an inside leg kick.
Parker throws an off balance right hand
and Jiet counters with a big right hand! Oh Parker is in trouble here! Jiet follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Beanin Jiet!
Our winner, Beanin Jiet, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
