Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Dias (ranked 722 p4p, 256 weight class) and Giovanni De Rossi (ranked 93 p4p, 37 weight class). De Rossi has chosen Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to Love (Choco Criminals Remix) as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De Rossi sprawls well. De Rossi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dias gets slowly back to his feet.

Dias changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. De Rossi tries to avoid it but Dias manages to keep hold of a leg and drag De Rossi to the ground. De Rossi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De Rossi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Dias shoots in looking for a takedown. De Rossi tries to sprawl out of it but Dias keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De Rossi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've been hearing good reports from Dias's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vinny Dias will probably get the nod.
