Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Izi Ruvik (ranked 25603 p4p, 4551 weight class) and Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Izi Ruvik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Brown!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruvik looks for a takedown but Brown sprawls well.

Brown closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brown thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ruvik has one of Brown's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Brown swings around for an armbar but Ruvik sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Brown's guard.
Brown wants to stand and escape but Ruvik is having none of it.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ruvik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ruvik controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ruvik passes Brown's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A head kick misses from Ruvik.
Ruvik lands a head kick. Brown smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Bobby Brown has been cut.
Ruvik throws a head kick that half lands.
Izi Ruvik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Brown. No joy for Ruvik on that attempt.
Brown throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Brown defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ruvik.

Brown clinches up with Ruvik and pushes him back against the cage.
Brown gets underhooks to prevent Ruvik's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Izi Ruvik. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brown turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Brown manages to end up in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brown is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Ruvik as he works his way to full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brown wants to stand and escape but instead Ruvik has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ruvik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ruvik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ruvik in particular looking to stall.
Brown tries to roll over but Ruvik keeps him under control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brown tries to clinch there but Ruvik circles away.
Ruvik has a takedown stuffed.
Ruvik tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brown defends well and Ruvik ends up having to push Brown into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ruvik changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brown fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Brown fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ruvik sprawls well initially but Brown persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ruvik does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bobby Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Brown winds up and cracks Ruvik with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Brown drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ruvik manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brown has Ruvik in his guard.

Brown can't keep his opponent in guard - Ruvik advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ruvik is trying to control. Brown wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Brown looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Ruvik pushes past his half guard into mount!

Ruvik tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Brown's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Brown is desperately trying to improve his position but Ruvik has a good base and remains in mount.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Izi Ruvik.
I think Ruvik has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
