Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Manu (ranked 652 p4p, 904 weight class) and Stan Man (ranked 46 p4p, 59 weight class). Manu comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to the Opera - Anyma & Grimes. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man walks into a straight right hand from Manu.
Decent striking displayed by Manu there.
Manu connects with a body shot that sends Man's belly button to the back.
Manu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Manu clinches with his opponent.
Manu gets through Man's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Manu lands a left hand.
Man tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Manu smiles and moves away.

Manu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Manu cracks Man with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Man fails with the takedown
and Manu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Man takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Manu is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Manu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Man at a distance.
Man takes one to the chin there.
Man takes one on the button.
Manu closes the distance and pushes Man back into the cage.
Manu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Man jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Manu walks away with a smile on his face. Man gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nicky Manu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Man.

Manu lands a nice looking body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Manu moves into the clinch.
Manu lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Man has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Manu lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Manu lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Man backwards.

Man drops down looking for an ankle pick but Manu pulls his leg out and moves away.
Manu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Man shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Man was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Man sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Manu is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Man wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manu keeps working.
Man lands a decent elbow from side control.
Manu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Manu tries to get out of the position.
Man swings around for an armbar but Manu sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Man's guard.
Man can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Manu controls the pace.
Man is looking for a triangle but Manu pushes his legs off easily.
Manu wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Manu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Man is pulling down on Manu's head. It's preventing any offense from Manu, at least for the moment.
Manu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Manu has managed to get both his arms back between Man's legs - danger averted.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Manu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Manu scores with the left hand. Man knows he should have avoided that one.
Nicky Manu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manu uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Manu goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Man shoots in for a takedown but Manu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Man jumps guard but Manu stands there with Man around his waist. Man gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Manu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Man is tightening it up a little... Manu has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Manu reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Manu taps out! Nice BJJ there by Man!

Our winner, Stan Man, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
