Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davey Allen (ranked 1785 p4p, 2165 weight class) and David Goldberg (ranked 243 p4p, 288 weight class). Davey Allen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to David Goldberg's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Davey Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Goldberg!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldberg staying out of range there.
Allen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Goldberg slips under a jab from Allen.
Allen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Goldberg.
Goldberg looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Goldberg throws a body punch but Allen moves out of range.
Goldberg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Allen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A big right from Allen misses.
A little jabbing left from Goldberg on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Goldberg finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Goldberg drives through with a takedown into Allen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Allen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goldberg but Goldberg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Allen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Allen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Goldberg to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Allen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Goldberg is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Allen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Goldberg seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goldberg is on top in guard.

Goldberg looks to land a strike but Allen avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Goldberg has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
