Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Moses Sanders (ranked 2111 p4p, 1662 weight class) and John Knox (ranked 340 p4p, 266 weight class). Sanders comes to the cage accompanied by The Entertainer. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Moses Sanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Knox!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Knox throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Sanders to counter with a crisp jab.
Knox lands a really nice looking cross but Sanders seems unphased.
Sanders seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Sanders throws a nice looking combination but Knox bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Knox throws out a counter right but Sanders avoids it with no problem.
Sanders lands an overhand right.

John Knox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanders went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Sanders moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanders scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Knox doesn't seem bothered though.
A lazy left from Knox finds it's target.
Knox lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sanders circles away quickly and effectively.
Knox lands a glancing blow to the side of Sanders's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knox with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sanders to score with a decent uppercut.
Sanders avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
We've been informed that Knox has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Knox misses with a wild body shot.
It looked like Sanders wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sanders uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knox.
Sanders swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Knox lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sanders circles away quickly and effectively.

and Sanders counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sanders takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Knox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanders seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Knox missing with a left hand there. Sanders was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sanders walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Knox's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Knox duly obliges.

It looks like Moses Sanders has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Knox thows a left - swing and a miss!

Knox takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Knox throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanders.
Knox swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Sanders counters with a crisp one two that drops Knox! Sanders thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Knox to his feet! Knox is in big trouble!

Knox throws a right hand that Sanders ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanders also avoids with ease.
Knox fails to land with a series of punches.
Sanders walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Knox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Knox throws a combination that misses
and Sanders counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sanders lands with a right that hurts Knox. Knox looks to clinch but Sanders throws a short knee that drops Knox. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Moses Sanders!
Moses Sanders seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
