Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Holden Easterly (ranked 23002 p4p, 21661 weight class) and Dez Havok (ranked 313 p4p, 299 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Easterly moves into range and clinches up with Havok.
Havok tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Easterly 's elbow.

Easterly breaks from the clinch.

Easterly clinches with his opponent.
Easterly dodges an elbow strike from Havok.
Havok struggles to land a body shot inside as Easterly controls his hands.
Havok swings wildly with an uppercut but Easterly uses good head movement to avoid it.
A head punch on the inside from Havok fails to land.

Easterly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Havok gets tackled into the cage by Easterly . Easterly maintains the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Easterly .
Easterly goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Easterly gets through Havok's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Easterly breaks the clinch.
Havok has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Easterly takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Havok throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice defenses there by Havok.
Havok doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Havok misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Easterly tries a body shot but Havok blocks it.

Easterly has had enough of the clinch but Havok keeps him there for the moment.

A nice left hand lands by Easterly .
Easterly managing to block the knees to the body from Havok.
Easterly gets through Havok's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Easterly works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Havok fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Easterly breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Havok circles away from the clinch attempt.
Havok tries to clinch but Easterly is having none of it.

Easterly darts in and clinches Havok up against the cage.

Dez Havok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Easterly lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Havok avoids the head kick by Easterly .
A head kick misses from Easterly .
Havok lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Easterly throws a hook to the side of Havok's head but Havok sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Havok plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Easterly closes the distance and clinches.

Havok is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Easterly is defending well for now.

Havok tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Easterly avoids it.
Havok misses with a hook from the clinch.
Easterly lands a left hand.
Havok tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Havok just misses with a elbow thrown towards Easterly 's brow.

Havok lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Havok has a couple of punches blocked by Easterly .
Easterly gets through Havok's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Easterly lands a right hand.
Havok creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Easterly breaks the clinch.
Havok lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Easterly lands a jab to the head.
Havok has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Easterly finds it's way round the side to connect with Havok's head.
Havok throws a head kick that misses.
Havok looks to land a right hand but Easterly moved out of range.
