The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Journey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Journey tries to counter with a takedown but Santos is quick to defend against it.
Santos doesn't manage to clinch there - Journey circles away.
Santos rushes Journey and presses him up against the cage.

Santos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Santos lands a body punch.
Santos stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Journey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Journey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Journey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Santos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Journey is looking for a triangle but Santos pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Journey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Journey drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Journey off! Journey jumps back into Santos's guard.
Journey drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Journey as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Santos screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Journey! Nice submission victory there!
