And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danyaal Zahedi!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zahedi slips a jab from Higgins.

enabling Zahedi to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Liam Higgins has been cut.
Higgins slips a jab from Zahedi.
Higgins looks to land a left hand but Zahedi moved out of range nicely.

Zahedi pushes Higgins up against the cage in a clinch.
Zahedi lands a body shot in the clinch.
Zahedi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Higgins's elbow.

Higgins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zahedi slips under a jab from Higgins.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Higgins throws a jab when Zahedi was well out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Zahedi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Higgins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Zahedi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Higgins can pounce on him.
Higgins looks to land a left hand but Zahedi moved out of range nicely.
Zahedi is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Zahedi tries to clinch but Higgins moves out of range.
Zahedi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Higgins.
Higgins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zahedi counters with a nice uppercut.
Higgins looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Liam Higgins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zahedi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Higgins sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Higgins ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Higgins throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Zahedi to counter with a crisp jab.
Higgins misses with a straight left.
Higgins lands a lovely overhand right.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zahedi.
Higgins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zahedi sends Higgins crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Zahedi is motioning to the referee to let Higgins up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

and Zahedi counters with a big left hand that crumples Higgins! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
