PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Sapo (ranked 1019 p4p, 1551 weight class) and Jah Kid (ranked 47 p4p, 83 weight class). Kid comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Walk - Pantera kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapo cracks Kid with an open hand slap.
Sapo throws a lazy right hand but Kid sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kid gets the takedown into side control.
Sapo is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Kid swings around for an armbar but Sapo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kid's guard.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Sapo connects with a couple of short punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sapo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Sapo passes into half guard.
Kid moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kid is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sapo wants to control from the top but Kid keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kid bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sapo's guard.

Kid advances to half guard.

Kid seems to be looking for submissions.
Sapo gets back to full guard.
Kid tries to free his leg and advance position but Sapo is retaining full guard.
Sapo pulls Kid in close to prevent any damage.
Kid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kid slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kid wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sapo keeps working.
Sapo can't do much from the bottom here.
Sapo prevents Kid from moving into mount.
Kid is still trying to improve position.

Kid goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sapo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kid but great work by Sapo.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kid manages to get back to half guard.
Sapo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kid keeps working.

Sapo is just content to waste time from the top position. Kid takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Kid looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sapo is defending well. Kid quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sapo has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kid celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
