The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan misses the shot to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Diggs throws the kick towards the body but Ryan avoids it.
Ryan looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ryan misses with a body shot.
Diggs appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Ryan throws an off balance right hand
and Diggs counters with a body kick.
Ryan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Diggs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Diggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Gord Ryan has been cut.
Diggs throws a jab but it's blocked by Ryan.
Ryan looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Ryan takes a swing at Diggs's ribcage but misses.
Ryan lunges at Diggs with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Diggs's hand.
Diggs thows a leg kick but Ryan checks it
and Ryan counters with a nice body shot.
Ryan misses with a body punch
and Diggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diggs blocks a jab.

and Diggs counters with a crisp right hand that drops Ryan! Diggs lets Ryan back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Ryan is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Diggs rather than just go for the knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ryan throws a lazy uppercut
and Diggs counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Diggs drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Ryan right on the button. Ryan goes down! Diggs follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Diggs gets the win via TKO!
