Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dinklage (ranked 78 p4p, 193 weight class) and Kodiyak Redd (ranked 6 p4p, 10 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dan Dinklage has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dan Dinklage seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Dinklage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kodiyak Redd!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dinklage tries for a takedown but Redd sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Redd connects with a nice looking jab.

Dinklage clinches.
Redd prevents a takedown attempt there.

Dinklage turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Dinklage working the strikes but Redd uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Dinklage thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dinklage trying to control from half guard but Redd is working away.

Redd looking for submissions off his back.
Redd is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dinklage is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Dinklage throws a strike but Redd avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Redd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dinklage's guard.

Dinklage definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Redd is pushing down on Dinklage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dinklage is fighting to maintain full guard but Redd has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Redd is thwarting Dinklage's attempts to control the position.
Redd is pressing down on Dinklage's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dinklage is holding on for now.
Dinklage is looking for a sweep. Redd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dinklage tries to roll over but Redd keeps him under control.
Dinklage controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dinklage is pressing down on Redd's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Redd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dinklage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dinklage wants to sweep here but Redd controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Redd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Redd throwing strikes from guard but Dinklage blocks nicely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Redd misses the shot to the body.
Dinklage tries to counter with a takedown but Redd is quick to defend against it.
Redd throws a right hand that misses
and Dinklage counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Redd thinking.
Redd takes a swing at Dinklage's ribcage but misses.
Dinklage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Redd now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Dinklage. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dinklage throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dinklage shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Redd pinned against the cage. Redd gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dinklage closes the distance and clinches.
Redd tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dinklage avoids it.

Redd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Redd throws a lazy uppercut

and Dinklage counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Redd tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dinklage wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dinklage scores with punches from side control.

Redd is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dan Dinklage will probably get the nod.

Redd throws a shot from downtown. Dinklage moves away and avoids it.
Dinklage drops down looking for a counter takedown but Redd sprawls and moves away.
Redd is still on wobbly legs! Can Dinklage finish him?
Dinklage slips a jab from Redd.
Dinklage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dinklage rushes Redd and presses him up against the cage.
Dinklage works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Redd tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Dinklage scores with a nice hook to the head.
Redd wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dinklage throws a big uppercut that drops Redd! More strikes from Dinklage and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Redd lies dazed against the cage as Dinklage celebrates with his cornermen!
