Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ragnar Bjornson (ranked 2918 p4p, 3840 weight class) and Miguel Garces (ranked 363 p4p, 431 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ragnar Bjornson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ragnar Bjornson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjornson lands an overhand right.
Garces darts in trying to clinch
enabling Bjornson to counter with a crisp jab.
Garces on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Garces finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bjornson slaps away a takedown attempt from Garces, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bjornson lands a nice looking body shot.
Garces tries to clinch up.
Bjornson looks to throw the jab but Garces is out of range.

and Bjornson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Garces walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bjornson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bjornson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bjornson misses with a straight left.
Garces moves away from the strike by Bjornson.

Garces uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bjornson.
Garces appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Bjornson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Garces doesn't manage to clinch there - Bjornson circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Garces.

Bjornson throws a hook to the side of Garces's head but Garces sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Garces shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bjornson as he jumps to the side.
Ragnar Bjornson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Garces.
The fighters circling - Bjornson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Garces looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Bjornson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Garces looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Miguel Garces seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garces does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Garces fails in his attempt to clinch.

Garces tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bjornson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A counter left hand to the body from Bjornson misses its target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bjornson. Garces does a little dance to reset his feet.
Garces was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Garces moves in looking to clinch but Bjornson pushes him off.
Bjornson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Garces on the side of the head.

Bjornson is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Garces moves in looking to clinch but Bjornson pushes him off.
Bjornson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Garces tried to score with a low kick but Bjornson checks it.
Bjornson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Garces is rocked!

Bjornson throws a monster overhand right that drops Garces! Bjornson follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
