Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Mesquita (ranked 414 p4p, 661 weight class) and Johnny Ringo (ranked 66 p4p, 95 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Mesquita gets the takedown into side control.
Mesquita lands an elbow.
Ringo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Mesquita.
Mesquita working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mesquita lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ringo down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ringo is trying to get back to half guard.
Mesquita trying to control the position but Ringo is working away.
Ringo takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mesquita wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ringo keeps working.

Mesquita has an Americana. Ringo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mesquita is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mesquita hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
