PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juicy Gum (ranked 6328 p4p, 24809 weight class) and Iron Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gum comes into the arena with Eye of the tiger blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mike is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Mike ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gum moves away.
Gum fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mike avoids it really well and circles away.
Mike swings for the body but Gum moves out of range.
Gum tries to clinch

and Mike counters with a takedown into side control.

Mike is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gum has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mike tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mike has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gum tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Mike has hold of Gum's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gum tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mike cranks the arm and Gum screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gum, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Iron Mike!
