Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Rocky (ranked 1396 p4p, 1197 weight class) and Boyko Kersikov (ranked 187 p4p, 161 weight class). Kersikov has chosen Sefa - God's Plan as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocky catches Kersikov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kersikov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rocky throws a hook but Kersikov blocks it.

Rocky clinches up with Kersikov and pushes him back against the cage.
Our sources have told us that Rocky has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Rocky misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kersikov.
Rocky tries to land knees in the clinch but Kersikov avoids the damage to the body.
Rocky doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rocky tries a body shot but Kersikov blocks it.
Kersikov throws a punch but it's blocked by Rocky.
Kersikov misses with a body punch.
Rocky using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kersikov has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Kersikov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rocky lands a nice looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rocky misses with a looping right.
Rocky throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Kersikov counter with a right hand.

Rocky takes the fight into the clinch.
Rocky misses with a knee strike.

Kersikov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rocky doesn't manage to clinch there - Kersikov circles away.
Rocky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kersikov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kersikov! But no joy.
Boyko Kersikov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kersikov falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rocky counters with a one-two to the body.
Rocky misses the shot to the body.
Rocky wants to clinch.
Kersikov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Rocky scores with a hook to the body. Kersikov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Kersikov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Rocky has Kersikov up against the cage in a clinch.
Kersikov lands with a right to the head.
Rocky tries a knee to the head but Kersikov blocks it.
Kersikov misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kersikov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Rocky backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kersikov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Kersikov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Rocky! Kersikov lets Rocky back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Rocky is rocked!
Rocky misses with a straight left.
Oh Rocky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rocky switches off momentarily and Kersikov cracks him with a monster right hand! Rocky topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Kersikov dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Kersikov!
