Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Lucroy (ranked 3019 p4p, 1999 weight class) and Geo Versu (ranked 445 p4p, 310 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jean Lucroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geo Versu!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Versu lands a lovely overhand right.

Lucroy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Versu works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Versu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lucroy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Geo Versu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Lucroy shoots in looking for a takedown. Versu tries to sprawl out of it but Lucroy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Versu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Some bone on bone action there as Lucroy checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Geo Versu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That kick from Versu tenderised Lucroy's leg. Lucroy is trying to keep his angry face on.

Geo Versu seems to be getting the better of the standup.
