Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Obama (ranked 3118 p4p, 493 weight class) and Eugeniy Tryastsyn (ranked 360 p4p, 70 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eugeniy Tryastsyn!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obama tries a head kick but it misses.
Obama throws a hook but Tryastsyn avoids it easily.
Tryastsyn looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Obama scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tryastsyn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Obama's waist but Obama gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tryastsyn off to one side.
Obama cracks a nice hook into Tryastsyn's ribs.
Tryastsyn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Obama.
Tryastsyn moves out of range of the strikes.
Obama throws a nice outside leg kick.

Obama gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tryastsyn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Obama has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Obama has momentary wrist control but Tryastsyn slips an elbow through the middle.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tryastsyn working his ground and pound in the gym.

Tom Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tryastsyn manages to avoid it.
Tryastsyn changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Obama misses with a body shot.
Obama is looking to wear down Tryastsyn with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
