And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Lincoln Wright!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright throws a lazy head kick
and Cortez counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wright's knee momentarily.
Nice shot lands for Cortez.
Wright takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wright throws an off balance right hand
and Cortez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cortez jabs Wright to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nice shot by Cortez.
Cortez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Wright gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Cortez counter with a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wright tries to clinch but Cortez moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Cortez misses its target.

Cortez cracks Wright with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cortez has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wright to stand back up!

Wright is rocked!
Cortez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wright is still on wobbly legs! Can Cortez finish him?
Cortez drops Wright with a straight right hand, right on the button! Cortez follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ubaldo Cortez!
A relieved looking Ubaldo Cortez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Lincoln Wright had this to say: 'Im sorry things didnt go may way, so i will go back to trining harder smarter...next time victory will be mine'.
