Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Radar (ranked 1306 p4p, 1652 weight class) and Theros Ironfeld (ranked 158 p4p, 202 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Radar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Theros Ironfeld!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radar ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ironfeld misses with a combination

and Radar moves into the clinch.
Radar throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Ironfeld wants to stall.
Radar lands with a short head shot on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ironfeld.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ironfeld has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
An inside leg kick lands from Radar.
Radar shoots in looking for a takedown but Ironfeld manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Radar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Radar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ironfeld has time to react.

Ironfeld is trying to maintain a safe position but Radar gets an underhook and turns Ironfeld into the cage.

Ironfeld breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Radar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ironfeld throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Radar.

Radar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Radar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ironfeld has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ironfeld tries to buck Radar off but Radar is having none of it.
Radar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like Theros Ironfeld has been cut.

Ironfeld is looking to control Radar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ironfeld avoid being mounted?
Radar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Radar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Radar is looking to work some ground and pound but Ironfeld has wrist control.
Radar is working Ironfeld over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Radar has gone for a leg lock! Ironfeld slips out almost immediately though and dives into Radar's guard.

Ironfeld wants to pass the guard but Radar is keeping the position.

Ironfeld got a little sloppy there for a moment and Radar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ironfeld has managed to get both his arms back between Radar's legs - danger averted.

Radar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ironfeld can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Radar has his foot on Ironfeld's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ironfeld works his way back into a safe position though.
Radar will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ironfeld stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Radar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ironfeld might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ironfeld lands a nice short elbow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Radar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ironfeld wants to control but Radar is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Radar in particular looking to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Radar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Max Radar made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Theros Ironfeld was interviewed post fight and said 'Came in here thinking I could get a chance at that belt, but when the pieces don't fit, the Blacksmith goes back to the forge. I'll be back.'.
