Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toyotomi Hideyoshi (ranked 3679 p4p, 3438 weight class) and Gatis Ginters (ranked 418 p4p, 395 weight class). Toyotomi Hideyoshi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gatis Ginters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gatis Ginters!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hideyoshi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hideyoshi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ginters but Ginters pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ginters tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ginters is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ginters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ginters closes the distance and clinches up with Hideyoshi, looking for a takedown. Ginters pushes Hideyoshi against the cage but Hideyoshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ginters bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hideyoshi's guard.
