Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kitten Kaito (ranked 6126 p4p, 25449 weight class) and Danny Welbeck (ranked 379 p4p, 398 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kitten Kaito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Welbeck!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welbeck throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kaito throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Welbeck's waist but Welbeck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kaito off to one side.
Welbeck is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Kaito has a takedown stuffed.
Kaito shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kitten Kaito. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Kaito. No joy for Welbeck on that attempt.
Welbeck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Welbeck gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kaito regains guard.
Kaito is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Welbeck presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Welbeck feints a jab promting Kaito to slip. Welbeck then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kaito slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kaito really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Welbeck will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kaito is defended easily by Welbeck.

Kaito is breathing heavily.
Kaito shoots in looking for a takedown but Welbeck manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kaito's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Welbeck shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kaito as he jumps to the side.

It seemed like Welbeck was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Kaito counters with a three punch combo that has Welbeck backing up. Welbeck nods at Kaito to acknowledge the strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Welbeck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
