Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doyle Brunson (ranked 3117 p4p, 1882 weight class) and Rakeem Marley (ranked 444 p4p, 290 weight class). Marley has chosen Damian Marley - Welcome to Jamrock as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doyle Brunson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rakeem Marley!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley throws a leg kick but Brunson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Brunson with a poor takedown
and Marley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Marley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marley pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brunson back to the cage. Marley follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Doyle Brunson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marley tries to land a front kick but Brunson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Brunson throws a nice looking combination but Marley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A countering left hand to the body from Marley misses.
Brunson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Marley lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Brunson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Marley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brunson.
Marley has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Brunson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Brunson cracks Marley with an open hand slap.
Brunson throws the left hand but Marley avoids the punch easily.
Brunson tries for a takedown but Marley circles away easily
and Marley counters with an outside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doyle Brunson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marley takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
No joy there for Brunson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brunson was well out of range. Poor timing from Marley.

Marley lands a left and a right that send Brunson crashing to the mat, dazed. Marley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Brunson is rocked!

It looks like Doyle Brunson has been cut.
Marley Throws a clean left jab. Marley Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Brunson's chin! Brunson crumbles to the ground and Marley follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Marley!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rakeem Marley!
A very excited looking Rakeem Marley made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
