The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkey bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Romero 's head.
Monkey looks to score with a jab to the body but Romero is just out of range.

The fighters circling - Romero throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Monkey was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Monkey looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Romero throws a lazy right hand but Monkey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And Monkey counters with a quick kick to the body but Romero blocks it.

Romero looks to throw the jab but Monkey is out of range.
Monkey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Romero throws out the jab.

Monkey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Romero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Monkey counters with a low kick, right behind Romero 's knee.
Monkey takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Romero lands a right hook to the body.
Romero clobbers Monkey with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Romero scores with a nice strike.
Romero lunges at Monkey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Monkey's hand.

Monkey throws out a loose jab but Romero uses good head movement to avoid it.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Romero engages and cracks Monkey with a massive lead left hook - Monkey tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Romero is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
