Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ziegler (ranked 618 p4p, 4034 weight class) and Adam Bogo (ranked 46 p4p, 227 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Ziegler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Bogo!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziegler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bogo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ziegler throws a body punch but Bogo moves out of range.
Bogo explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ziegler takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Bogo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ziegler.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

so Bogo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bogo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ziegler manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bogo has Ziegler in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bogo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ziegler escapes and throws Bogo's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bogo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bogo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ziegler off and has taken his back!
Ziegler is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bogo gets his way!

Ziegler controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bogo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ziegler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bogo.
Bogo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ziegler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bogo tries to kick Ziegler off but Ziegler keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ziegler wants to pass the guard but Bogo is defending well.
Bogo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ziegler pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bogo felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Ziegler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bogo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ziegler looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ziegler looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ziegler!

Bogo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Bogo throws a big elbow that misses.
Bogo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bogo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Adam Bogo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bogo has gone for a leg lock! Ziegler slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bogo's guard.
Ziegler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bogo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ziegler should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bogo has tightened it up now! Ziegler should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
