PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Steele (ranked 1637 p4p, 2055 weight class) and Atakan Akkaynak (ranked 218 p4p, 269 weight class). Steele comes to the cage accompanied by Manowar - Heart of Steel. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akkaynak misses with a two punch combination.
It looked like Steele wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Steele throws a jab but it's blocked by Akkaynak.
Steele throws the left hand but Akkaynak avoids the punch easily.
A punch lands to the side of Akkaynak 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Akkaynak has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Steele bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Akkaynak's head.
Steele throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Akkaynak stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
