The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Read dives in and grabs Kulik's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kulik pushes down on Read's head and hops out.

Kulik wants to take the fight to the mat but Read manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Read has his foot on Kulik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kulik works his way back into a safe position though.
