The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vrana lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Alexander Cotilla has been cut.
Vrana throws a hook but Cotilla avoids it easily.

Cotilla clinches up against the cage.
Cotilla stalling in the clinch but Vrana improves position.

Vrana tries to circle away but Cotilla has him pinned against the cage.
Vrana misses with a knee strike.
Vrana goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Cotilla throws a series of punches but Vrana moves out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Vrana. Cotilla does a little dance to reset his feet.

Vrana moves forwards but Cotilla connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Vrana misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cotilla looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vrana rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cotilla moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vrana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cotilla has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cotilla there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Cotilla counters with a crisp one two that drops Vrana! Cotilla thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Vrana to his feet! Vrana is in big trouble!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cotilla's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vrana takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Cotilla scores with a nice hook to the head.
Cotilla pushes Vrana back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Cotilla pushes Vrana against the cage. Cotilla is working some dirty boxing. Cotilla pushes off with a quick right hook! Vrana goes down! Vrana tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Cotilla moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
