The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matrix throws a lazy right hand but Torres sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Matrix swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Torres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Torres wants to pass the guard but Matrix is keeping the position.
Torres slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torres has managed to slip his arm under Matrix's chin. This could be all over... yep, Matrix is tapping out! Submission win for Torres.
