Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24840 p4p, 24784 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 25 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 21 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Buktot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buut quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buut is trying to stand back up but Buktot is controlling him
Buktot is looking to advance position but Buut won't allow it.
Buut wants to control but Buktot is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Buut is trying to stand up here but Buktot is controlling him well.
Buktot sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Buut defending well though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buut trying to control from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Buktot takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Buut shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Buktot seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Buut won't allow Buktot to sweep him here.
Buut slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Nice takedown defense from Buut. No joy for Buktot on that attempt.
Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Buut is trying to counter with his kicks.
Buktot moves out of range of the body kick.

Buut gets a takedown into half guard.
Buut is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Buktot wants to improve his position but Buut is controlling well.
Buut sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A close round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Buut fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Buut will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.

Buktot closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Buktot lands in his opponent's guard.

Buut is trying to hold Buktot in close to prevent damage but Buktot has managed to pass into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Buut is looking for a sweep. Buktot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Buut manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dawindi Buktot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Buut is pulling down on Buktot's head. It's preventing any offense from Buktot, at least for the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Buut looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buktot is fending him off so far but Buut persists. Nope, Buktot circles away and we're back to standing.
Buktot quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut.
Buut tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buktot sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buut somewhat.
Buktot lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Buut gets caught flat footed, as Buktot shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Buktot is in close to Buut's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Buktot wants to stand but Buut is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Buut tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buktot swivels and escapes.
Buktot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buut sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buktot somewhat.
And Buut responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buktot manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Buut on his heels. He'll look to pass Buut's guard now, I'm sure.

Buut is adopting a defensive guard.
Buut can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buktot controls the pace.
Buut is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Buktot is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Buut can do to turn this around?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Buut trying to strike off his back.
Buktot sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Buut is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Buktot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buut sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buktot somewhat.
Buut stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buut wants it to stay on the feet.
And Buut responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Buut fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Buktot sprawls well initially but Buut persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buktot makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Buktot.
Buut controlling from the top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Walay Buut.
I think Buut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
