Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarrod Beard (ranked 3117 p4p, 1866 weight class) and Fyodor Dmitriev (ranked 362 p4p, 227 weight class). Beard's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ladies Love Country Boys - Trace Adkins. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarrod Beard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fyodor Dmitriev!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Watson and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dmitriev misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
An attempted straight right counter from Beard misses the target.
Dmitriev fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Beard throws a lazy uppercut
and Beard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Jarrod Beard has been cut.
Beard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Beard fails with the takedown
and Dmitriev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Beard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dmitriev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Beard is fighting to break Dmitriev's control of his arms but Dmitriev is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Beard is looking to work some ground and pound but Dmitriev has wrist control.

Dmitriev is looking for a sweep. Beard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Beard thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Beard takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Beard thows a huge punch but Dmitriev dodges it nicely.
Dmitriev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Beard scores with a couple of nice shots.
Beard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dmitriev's head.

Dmitriev is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Beard postures up and lands a big shot to Dmitriev's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dmitriev not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dmitriev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Beard is one step ahead there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Dmitriev keeping moving, preventing Beard from controlling successfully.
Beard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Beard trying to control the position from guard on top but Dmitriev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Dmitriev lands a nice hook to Beard's body. Beard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dmitriev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beard somewhat.
Dmitriev ducks under a wild hook from Beard.
A little jabbing left from Dmitriev on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Dmitriev jabs Beard to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dmitriev. That's going to slow Beard down.
Beard throws a nice looking combination but Dmitriev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fighters circle momentarily. Dmitriev darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beard is defended easily by Dmitriev.
Dmitriev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Fyodor Dmitriev will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jarrod Beard's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Beard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dmitriev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Beard throws a lazy uppercut
and Dmitriev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Beard gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Dmitriev gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Beard is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fyodor Dmitriev!
A relieved looking Fyodor Dmitriev thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
