Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John McCoy!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy misses with a straight right.
McConnell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCoy's waist but McCoy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McConnell off to one side.
McCoy jabs McConnell to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McConnell slips a jab from McCoy.
McConnell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McCoy.
McCoy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McConnell circles away quickly and effectively.
McConnell attempts a counter takedown but McCoy avoids it well and moves away.
McConnell takes one to the side of the head.
McConnell tries to clinch there but McCoy circles away.
McConnell fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McCoy lands a big uppercut and McConnell crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but McConnell looks OK. McCoy waves McConnell back to his feet!

McConnell is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCoy cracks McConnell 's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! McConnell slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before McCoy can do further damage! This one is done, son!
