Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Levi Sam (ranked 4458 p4p, 24552 weight class) and Peter File (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter File will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Levi Sam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter File!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam gets a clinch.
File is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sam gets a trip takedown into half guard.
File regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sam.
Sam trying to control the position from guard on top but File is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sam would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
File tries to strike from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sam pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. File is keeping the position for now.
Sam won't allow File to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sam is looking to stand up but File won't let him.
File utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
File shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sam but Sam pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sam appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Sam shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
File raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sam managing to block the knees to the body from File.
File tries to pull guard but Sam forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Sam misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sam pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from File.
Levi Sam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter File.
Sam throws a lazy right hand but File sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sam leaves File with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
File looks winded!
Sam throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sam forces File back against the cage and clinches.
File's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
File swings wildly with an uppercut but Sam uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
File changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sam fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sam darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sam trying to mount his opponent but File defends it.
File is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sam's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sam's back!
File doesn't have the hooks in and Sam manages to turn into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sam passes File's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sam throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sam uses his free foot to push down on File's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for File.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sam content just to control the position here.
File is desperately trying to improve his position but Sam has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sam trying to control but File is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
File is controlling an arm, preventing Sam from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Levi Sam dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sam looking to score a takedown here. File is defending well but Sam drives through and ends up in File's guard.
Sam trying to control but File is working from the bottom.
File has a closed guard, preventing Sam from standing up.
Sam drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but File manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sam has File in his guard.

Sam working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. File doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sam is tightening it up a little... File has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! File reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! File taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sam!
