Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seve Simmer (ranked 5184 p4p, 6059 weight class) and Ted Aya (ranked 485 p4p, 505 weight class). Ted Aya will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Seve Simmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ted Aya!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aya was well out of range. Poor timing from Simmer.
Aya with a jab.
Simmer slips a jab from Aya.
Simmer misses with a few strikes there.
Aya throws a shot from downtown. Simmer moves away and avoids it.
Simmer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Simmer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Aya avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Simmer connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Simmer rushes Aya and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Aya blocks an uppercut.
The referee calls for Simmer to work.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Simmer.

Simmer pushes off an throws an elbow but Aya leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Aya throws a head punch that misses.

Aya blocks the elbow strike.
Aya tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Simmer's elbow.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Aya creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Aya lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Simmer backwards.

Aya looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Aya lands a nice shot to the body.

Simmer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aya wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Aya's jab looks to have found its range, popping Simmer under the eye.
Simmer throws out a loose jab but Aya uses good head movement to avoid it.

Simmer takes one to the chin there.
Simmer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Seve Simmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aya lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Simmer at a distance.

Aya lands the left hand.
A shot to the body from Simmer misses
and Aya counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Aya lands a right hook to the body.
Simmer is breathing heavily.
Simmer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aya moves away.
Aya throws a series of punches but Simmer moves out of range.
Simmer misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Aya counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Simmer takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Aya scores with the left hand. Simmer knows he should have avoided that one.
Simmer walks into a left hand.
Simmer throws a jab but it's blocked by Aya.
The fight stays on the outside here - Simmer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Aya counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Simmer walks into a left hand.
Aya lands a head shot.
Aya displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Simmer throws out the jab.

Aya slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Aya cracks Simmer with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Aya has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Simmer to stand back up!

Simmer is rocked!

Aya lands a big uppercut and Simmer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Simmer looks OK. Aya waves Simmer back to his feet!
Oh Simmer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Simmer gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Aya points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Simmer wakes up just in time to hear Aya thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
